Calvert Ivory Stamped Set

An ivory chess set by Calvert, England, circa 1830, one side stained red, the other side left natural, kings and queens with multi-baluster knops, bishops as mitres, knights as finely carved horses' heads, rooks as monobloc turrets, pawns with baluster knops and ball finials, the king 9cm high, the pawn 4.5cm high.

The red rooks are stamped "CALVERT 189 FLEET STT".
