"Calvert Early" pattern ivory chess set

Jon's main chess page

Fine quality carved and turned early-to-mid 19th century English playing set, in a pattern attributed to John Calvert. Although sets of this type were indeed made by John Calvert, and this set came in a stamped Calvert box, my opinion (based especially on the knights) is that this set was produced by William Lund, another famous 19th century Victorian chess manufacturer.
