Chinese Export Staunton Set

A Chinese export Staunton chess set made of ivory, mid-to-late 19th century. Some of the pieces have Chinese characters marked on the screw threads.

The interesting thing about this set is that the Knights are, in my opinion, uncannily similar to the Jaques Leuchars knights.
